International Spring Orchestra Festival

This year's edition of the International Spring Orchestra Festival will open with a concert featuring The Hop!Trio and RtimiKA project at Pjazza Teatru Rjal.

Born to a Viennese family of musicians pianist Gottlieb Wallisch is a prize winner of several international competitions, amongst which are the 1st Prize and the „Grand Prix Ivo Pogorelich“ at The Stravinsky Awards (USA). His concert appearances have taken Wallisch around the world in prestigious concert venues and festivals.

The world-touring Russian Virtuosi of Europe will be performing Elgar's and Tchaikowsky's Serenades for strings as well as Schoenberg's enigmatic Verklärte Nacht at Our Lady of Victory Church, Valletta,

The Rising Stars Concerts series is a platform dedicated to highly talented youngsters aged 8-18. This year's edition will be held at Palazzo Pereira, Valletta at 8:00pm from 1 to 3 May.

The Baltic Neopolis Quartet was formed in 2008 by the leaders of the Baltic Neopolis Orchestra (Poland).

The quartet will perform six contemporary string quartets by contemporary composers from the EU. Click here for the programme

The Schwingungen Trio Vienna got its name from one of the greatest concert series, Schwingungen. These series are developed and organised by the International Society for the Promotion of Music and Culture. 10 years after the Schwingungen concert has made its debut, violinist Sanghee Cheong, pianist Charlene Farrugia and cellist Stefan Kropfitsch have enchanted people through their music.

Described as highly refined artists and musicians of breath-taking dexterity, the French cello quartet Quatre de Pique was formed by Diana Ligeti, Raphael Perraud, Veronique Marrin and Michael Tafforeau. The Quatre de Pique will perform Italian and French repertoire.

World renowned Polish-Viennese violinist Edward Zienkowski has performed as soloist and guest artist with orchestras such as the Berlin Philharmonic, Symphony Orchestra Seoul,Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg, WDR Symphony Orchestra, National- Philharmonie Warsaw and the Tokyo Metropolitan Orchestra.

The closing concert of this year's edition of the ISOFestival is organised in collaboration with the Maltese Presidency of the Council of the EU 2017 and the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra. This collaborative concert will feature musicians from the European Union Youth Orchestra, the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir and international soloists Elisabeth Teige (Soprano), Marvic Monreal (Mezzo Soprano), Nico Darmanin (Tenor), Thomas Mohr (Tenor), Franz Hawlata (Baritone) and Brian Schembri (Conductor), who will be perforing Karl Fiorini's "IF" for Tenor and Orchestra and Beethoven's majestic Symphony no. 9.
